Pork prices on July 2nd saw a slight decrease in some provinces in the Central region. The average price of live pigs currently fluctuates between 61,000 and 64,500 VND/kg, reaching an average of 63,000 VND/kg, similar to yesterday but still 1,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.
- Northern region: The average price of live pigs reached 64,000 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday and 2,000 VND/kg lower than last week. Prices in most localities are trading between 62,500 and 64,500 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands region: The average price of live pigs reached 61,500 VND/kg, down 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The prevailing purchase price currently ranges from 61,000 to 62,500 VND/kg.
- Southern Region: Live pig prices remained unchanged on July 2nd. The Southeast region continued to maintain a price of 62,000 VND/kg, 750 VND/kg lower than the previous week. The Southwest region also remained at 62,000 VND/kg, 1,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The prevailing transaction price in the Southern region is currently in the range of 62,000 – 62,500 VND/kg.
- Live pig prices for GF24 generation (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reach 64,000 VND/kg, about 1,000 VND/kg higher than the national average live pig price, continuing to maintain a positive difference thanks to the quality and uniformity of the pig herd.
