Pork prices on June 19th continued their slight downward trend nationwide. The average price of live pigs currently fluctuates between 62,500 and 68,500 VND/kg, averaging 65,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

  • Northern region: The average price of live pigs reached 68,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 250 VND/kg lower than last week. Prices in most localities are trading between 66,000 and 68,500 VND/kg.
  • Central and Central Highlands region: The average price of live pigs reached 64,000 VND/kg, similar to yesterday but 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The prevailing purchase price currently ranges from 63,000 to 64,500 VND/kg.
  • Southern region: Live pig prices are generally stable compared to yesterday but still lower than last week. The Southeast region maintains an average of 62,500 VND/kg, 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The Southwest region remains at 63,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday but 750 VND/kg lower than last week. The prevailing transaction price in the Southern region is currently in the range of 62,500 – 63,000 VND/kg.
  • Live pig prices for GF24 generation (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reach 67,000 VND/kg, about 1,150 VND/kg higher than the national average live pig price, continuing to maintain a positive difference thanks to the quality and uniformity of the pig herd.
