On September 28, 2026, pork prices recorded a downward trend

Pork prices on September 28th showed a downward trend nationwide, with the sharpest declines in the North and Central regions. Nationwide pork purchase prices currently range from 56,000 to 58,000 VND/kg, averaging 56,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 750 VND/kg compared to September 26th and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

• Northern region: Average pork price reached 56,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to September 26th and 2,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices fluctuated between 56,000 and 57,000 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands Region: The average price of live pigs reached VND 57,000/kg, a decrease of VND 1,000/kg compared to September 26th and VND 1,000/kg lower than the same period last week. Purchase prices fluctuated between VND 56,500 and VND 57,500/kg.
• Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached VND 57,000/kg, a decrease of VND 250/kg compared to September 26th and VND 500/kg lower than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached VND 57,000/kg, a decrease of VND 750/kg compared to September 26th and VND 1,000/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between VND 56,000 and VND 58,000/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to GREENFEED standards) is currently 58,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to September 26th. On the other hand, the price of GF24 piglets is currently about 1,150 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage thanks to the high quality of its meat, which is highly valued by traders.
