Today, May 20th, live pig prices have slightly decreased in some provinces in the Central and Southeastern regions. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 67,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, 400 VND/kg higher than the price recorded during the same period last week. Current pig prices do not vary significantly across different regions nationwide.
- Northern region: Live pig prices on May 20th remain unchanged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, nearly 1,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
- Central and Central Highlands regions: A slight decrease of 500-1,000 VND/kg was recorded in some provinces and cities. Currently, traders are buying live pigs at around 67,500-68,000 VND/kg, a decrease of nearly 400 VND/kg compared to the price recorded in the same period last week.
- Southern region: Live pig prices recorded a slight decrease of 500 VND/kg in some provinces in the Southeast region on May 20th. Traders are currently buying pigs at around 68,500-69,000 VND/kg, nearly 200 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
- Pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling for 500-1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price offered by other companies.
