On May 29, 2026 pork prices recorded a slight decrease

Today, May 29th, live pig prices recorded a slight decrease in most areas nationwide. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 66,000 – 69,000 VND/kg, nearly 1,200 VND/kg lower than the price recorded during the same period last week.

  • Northern region: Live pig prices on May 29th decreased by 500 VND/kg in some provinces and cities, bringing the purchase price across the region to 68,000 – 69,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to the same period last week.
  • Central and Central Highlands regions: A downward trend was also observed in some provinces and cities. Currently, traders are purchasing live pigs at around 66,000 – 67,500 VND/kg, a price nearly 1,200 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
  • Southern region: Live pig prices on May 29th decreased by 500 – 1,000 VND/kg in most provinces and cities. Traders are currently purchasing pigs at around 66,000 – 66,500 VND/kg, a price nearly 2,000 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
  • Pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling for 500-1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price offered by other companies.
