Pork prices on June 17th showed mixed trends across regions. The nationwide average pork price currently ranges from 62,500 to 68,500 VND/kg, averaging 66,000 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday but still 250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

  • Northern region: The average pork price reached 68,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. Prices in most localities are currently trading between 66,500 and 68,500 VND/kg.
  • Central and Central Highlands region: The average pork price reached 64,000 VND/kg, similar to yesterday but 750 VND/kg lower than last week. The prevailing purchase price currently ranges from 63,500 to 64,500 VND/kg.
  • Southern region: The average price of live pigs in the Southeast region remains at 62,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday but 750 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The Southwest region saw a decrease of 250 VND/kg, down to 63,000 VND/kg, also 250 VND/kg lower than last week. The prevailing transaction price in the Southern region is currently between 62,500 and 63,500 VND/kg.
  • The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) is currently at 67,000 VND/kg, approximately 1,000 VND/kg higher than the national average price, continuing to maintain a positive difference thanks to the quality and uniformity of the pig herd.
