Pork prices on July 1st continued to decline slightly nationwide. The average price of live pigs currently fluctuates between 61,500 and 64,500 VND/kg, reaching an average of 63,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.
- Northern region: The average price of live pigs reached 64,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,000 VND/kg lower than last week. Prices in most localities are trading between 62,500 and 64,500 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands region: The average price of live pigs reached 62,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The prevailing purchase price currently ranges from 61,500 to 62,500 VND/kg.
- Southern region: Live pig prices continued to fall on July 1st. The Southeast region saw a decrease of 250 VND/kg, remaining at 62,000 VND/kg, 750 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The Southwest region decreased by 500 VND/kg to 62,000 VND/kg, 1,000 VND/kg lower than last week. The prevailing transaction price in the Southern region is currently between 62,000 and 62,500 VND/kg.
- The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to GREENFEED standard procedures) is currently 64,000 VND/kg, about 1,000 VND/kg higher than the national average pig price, continuing to maintain a positive difference thanks to the quality and uniformity of the pig herd.
