1.PIG PRICE

Pork prices on August 11th continued their downward trend nationwide. The nationwide purchase price for live pigs ranged from 55,000 to 59,000 VND/kg, averaging 57,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 3,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

  • Northern region: The average price for live pigs reached 57,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 3,500 VND/kg lower than last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 56,500 to 58,500 VND/kg.
  • Central and Central Highlands region: The average price for live pigs reached 56,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,250 VND/kg lower than last week. Common purchase prices range from 56,000 to 57,500 VND/kg.
  • Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 56,500 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 3,500 VND/kg lower than last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 58,500 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 55,000 and 59,000 VND/kg.
  • The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) is currently being purchased by traders at around 58,500 VND/kg, about 1,200 VND/kg higher than the market price, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

Poultry market on August 11th: Ri chicken prices in the North remained unchanged compared to yesterday, while Mia chicken prices increased slightly. Minh Du chicken prices showed mixed trends in the Southern provinces. Duck meat prices increased sharply in the Central region but decreased slightly in the Southwestern provinces.

  • Ri chicken prices in the North remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently trading in the range of 45,000 – 48,500 VND/kg.
  • Mia chicken prices in the North increased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently around 44,000 – 48,500 VND/kg. Mia chicken prices in the Central region remained stable in the range of 38,000 – 38,500 VND/kg.
  • The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 37,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Prices in the Central region remained stable in the range of 36,000 – 38,000 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices dropped sharply by 1,000 VND/kg, currently ranging from 35,500 to 36,000 VND/kg. Conversely, in the Southwest region, prices increased slightly by 250 VND/kg, currently fluctuating between 34,000 and 38,500 VND/kg.
  • The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 39,500 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in the North remained stable at around 35,000-37,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Central region increased sharply by 1,250 VND/kg compared to yesterday, bringing the purchase price to 38,000-45,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region remained stable at around 44,500-46,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest region decreased slightly by 250 VND/kg, currently generally around 45,500-46,500 VND/kg.
