On May 28, 2026, pork prices recorded a slight decrease

Today, May 28th, live pig prices recorded a slight decrease in most areas nationwide. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 66,000 – 69,000 VND/kg, nearly 600 VND/kg lower than the price recorded during the same period last week.

  • In the Northern region: live pig prices on May 28th decreased by 500 VND/kg in some provinces and cities, bringing the purchase price across the region to 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg. This price is still nearly 200 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
  • Central and Central Highlands regions: A downward trend was also observed in some provinces and cities. Currently, traders are purchasing live pigs at around 66,000 – 67,500 VND/kg, a price nearly 800 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
  • Southern region: Live pig prices on May 28th decreased by 500 VND/kg in most provinces and cities. Traders are currently purchasing pigs at around 66,000 – 67,500 VND/kg, a price nearly 1,500 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
  • Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.
