Pork prices on September 9th continued their upward trend in the Northern, Central, and Southeastern regions of Vietnam. Nationwide pork purchase prices currently range from 57,000 to 59,500 VND/kg, averaging 59,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
- Northern region: Average pork price reached 59,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 59,000 to 59,500 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands region: Average pork price reached 58,500 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday but 250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Common purchase prices range from 58,000 to 59,500 VND/kg.
- Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 57,500 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 58,000 VND/kg, remaining unchanged compared to yesterday and 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 57,000 and 58,500 VND/kg.
- The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reaches 60,000 VND/kg, approximately 1,200 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.
