PIG PRICE ON MAY 5,2026

Today, May 5th, live pig prices saw a slight decrease in the Southern provinces. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 64,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, nearly 800 VND/kg higher than last week’s prices, with the South continuing to maintain the highest prices nationwide.

• Northern region: No price changes were recorded on May 5th, with prices fluctuating between 64,500 – 65,500 VND/kg, nearly 1,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
• Central and Central Highlands regions: Prices remained stable today, with live pig purchase prices rising to 66,500 – 68,000 VND/kg, approximately 1,000 VND/kg higher than last week.
• Southern region: On May 5th, live pig prices decreased slightly by 500 VND/kg in the Southwestern provinces but remained stable in the Eastern region. Traders are currently buying pigs at around 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 150 VND/kg compared to last week.
• Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.
