Pork prices on June 29th remained generally stable nationwide after several consecutive days of decline. The average price of live pigs fluctuated between 62,000 and 65,000 VND/kg, reaching an average of 63,500 VND/kg, similar to yesterday but still 1,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.
- Northern region: The average price of live pigs reached 64,500 VND/kg, remaining stable compared to yesterday but still 2,500 VND/kg lower than last week. Prices in most localities are trading between 63,000 and 65,000 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands region: The average price of live pigs reached 62,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The prevailing purchase price currently ranges from 62,000 to 63,000 VND/kg.
- Southern region: Live pig prices show mixed trends across regions. The Southeast region remains stable at 62,500 VND/kg, unchanged from last week. Meanwhile, the Southwest region decreased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, down to 63,000 VND/kg. The prevailing transaction price in the Southern region is currently in the range of 62,000 – 63,000 VND/kg.
- Live pig prices for GF24 generation (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reach 64,500 VND/kg, about 1,000 VND/kg higher than the national average live pig price, continuing to maintain a positive difference thanks to the quality and uniformity of the pig herd.
