On September 24th, live pig prices showed a downward trend in the Northern provinces, while slightly increasing in some provinces in the Southwestern region. Nationwide live pig purchase prices currently range from 57,000 to 59,000 VND/kg, averaging 58,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

• Northern region: Average live pig price reached 58,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices fluctuated between 58,000 and 59,000 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands region: Average live pig price reached 58,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Purchase prices fluctuate between 57,000 and 59,000 VND/kg.
• Southern region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 57,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 58,000 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 57,000 and 58,500 VND/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reaches 59,500 VND/kg, approximately 1,150 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.
