On May 12, 2026 duck meat prices continued to decline

Prices for Ri Lai and Lai Choi chickens on May 12th increased slightly by 500 VND/kg in the Northern region but decreased by 500 VND/kg in the Southern provinces. In addition, duck meat prices continued to decrease in the Central region. Other regions recorded no price fluctuations on May 12th.

  • Ri chicken prices in the North increased by 500 VND/kg on May 12th in the Southern Red River Delta region, with traders currently buying Ri chickens at around 48,500 – 50,000 VND/kg.
  • Mia chicken prices in the North on May 12th remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the average price of Mía chicken in the North is currently in the range of 49,500 – 50,500 VND/kg.
  • Minh Du chicken prices decreased in the Southern provinces. Accordingly, prices in the Central provinces remained stable on May 12th, with the average price across the region currently at 43,500 – 45,500 VND/kg. On the other hand, prices in the Southern provinces saw a slight decrease today, currently trading at around 43,000 – 44,000 VND/kg in the Southeast region and around 43,000 – 44,000 VND/kg in the Southwest provinces.
  • Duck meat prices on May 12th recorded a decrease in some Central provinces. Specifically, prices in the North remained stable today, currently around 27,000 – 28,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Central region decreased by 500 – 1,000 VND/kg in some provinces, currently being purchased at around 30,000 – 32,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region remained stable on May 12th, currently around 33,000 – 34,000 VND/kg, while prices in the Southwest region remained in the range of 33,000 – 33,500 VND/kg.
