Pork prices on August 11th continued their downward trend nationwide. The nationwide purchase price for live pigs ranged from 55,000 to 59,000 VND/kg, averaging 57,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 3,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.
- Northern region: The average price for live pigs reached 57,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 3,500 VND/kg lower than last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 56,500 to 58,500 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands region: The average price for live pigs reached 56,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,250 VND/kg lower than last week. Common purchase prices range from 56,000 to 57,500 VND/kg.
- Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 56,500 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 3,500 VND/kg lower than last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 58,500 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 55,000 and 59,000 VND/kg.
- The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) is currently being purchased by traders at around 58,500 VND/kg, about 1,200 VND/kg higher than the market price, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.
