Pork prices on September 7th showed a downward trend in the North, Central, and Southwest regions of Vietnam. Nationwide pork purchase prices currently range from 56,000 to 58,500 VND/kg, averaging 58,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to September 5th and 250 VND/kg compared to the same period last week.

  • Northern region: Average pork price reached 58,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to September 5th and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 57,500 to 58,500 VND/kg.
  • Central and Central Highlands Region: The average price of live pigs reached 58,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to September 5th and 500 VND/kg compared to the same period last week. The common purchase price ranges from 57,000 to 58,500 VND/kg.
  • Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 56,500 VND/kg, unchanged from September 5th and 500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 58,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to September 5th but 500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 56,000 and 58,500 VND/kg.
  • The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to GREENFEED standards) is currently 59,000 VND/kg, about 950 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage thanks to the high quality of its meat, which is highly valued by traders.
