Pork prices on August 4th showed a downward trend in Central and Southeastern Vietnam. Nationwide prices fluctuated between 58,000 and 62,000 VND/kg, averaging 60,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,750 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.
- Northern Vietnam: Average pork price reached 61,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg lower than last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 60,000 to 62,000 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands Vietnam: Average pork price reached 58,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,500 VND/kg compared to August 3rd and 2,250 VND/kg lower than last week. Common purchase prices range from 58,000 to 59,500 VND/kg.
- Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 60,000 VND/kg, down 750 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,750 VND/kg lower than last week. The Southwest region maintained a price of 60,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday but still 1,750 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Common transaction prices in the Southern region are currently in the range of 59,000 – 61,000 VND/kg.
- The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) is currently 61,500 VND/kg, about 950 VND/kg higher than the national average price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage in quality and farming efficiency.
