Pork prices on June 22nd continued their slight downward trend nationwide. The average price of live pigs currently fluctuates between 62,000 and 67,500 VND/kg, averaging 65,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 750 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.
- Northern region: The average price of live pigs reached 67,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 750 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,000 VND/kg lower than last week. Prices in most localities are trading between 65,500 and 67,500 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands region: The average price of live pigs reached 64,000 VND/kg, remaining stable compared to yesterday but 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The prevailing purchase price currently ranges from 63,000 to 64,500 VND/kg.
- Southern region: Live pig prices continue to decrease slightly compared to yesterday and are lower than last week. The Southeast region decreased by 250 VND/kg, down to 62,500 VND/kg, and is 250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The Southwest region also decreased by 250 VND/kg, to 63,000 VND/kg, and is 500 VND/kg lower than last week. The prevailing transaction price in the Southern region is currently in the range of 62,000 – 63,000 VND/kg.
- Live pig prices for GF24 (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reach 66,000 VND/kg, about 1,000 VND/kg higher than the national average live pig price, continuing to maintain a positive difference thanks to the quality and uniformity of the pig herd.
