Pork prices on June 23rd generally remained stable nationwide. The average price of live pigs fluctuated between 62,500 and 67,500 VND/kg, reaching an average of 65,000 VND/kg, similar to yesterday but still 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.
- Northern region: The average price of live pigs reached 67,000 VND/kg, down 250 VND/kg from yesterday and 1,000 VND/kg lower than last week. Prices in most localities are trading between 65,000 and 67,500 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands region: The average price of live pigs reached 63,500 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg from yesterday and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The prevailing purchase price currently ranges from 63,000 to 64,000 VND/kg.
- Southern region: Live pig prices are showing a slight recovery trend. In the Southeast region on June 23rd, live pig prices increased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 63,000 VND/kg, and are 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. The Southwest region also increased by 500 VND/kg, reaching 63,500 VND/kg; no significant difference compared to last week has been recorded yet. The prevailing transaction price in the Southern region is currently between 62,500 and 63,500 VND/kg.
- The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to GREENFEED standard procedures) is currently 66,000 VND/kg, about 1,000 VND/kg higher than the national average pig price, continuing to maintain a positive difference thanks to the quality and uniformity of the pig herd.
