1.PIG PRICE
Today, May 22nd, live pig prices decreased slightly by 500-1,000 VND/kg in most areas nationwide. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 67,500-69,500 VND/kg, but are still nearly 650 VND/kg higher than the prices recorded during the same period last week. Current pig prices do not vary significantly between different regions across the country.
- Northern region: Live pig prices on May 22nd decreased by 500 VND/kg in most provinces and cities. Prices across the region are currently fluctuating between 68,500-69,500 VND/kg, still nearly 1,500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
- Central and Central Highlands regions: also recorded a downward trend with a decrease of about 500 VND/kg. Currently, traders are buying live pigs at around 67,500 – 68,000 VND/kg, nearly 500 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
- Southern region: live pig prices on May 22nd also recorded a downward trend in the provinces of the Southeast region. Traders are currently buying pigs at around 68,000 – 68,500 VND/kg, nearly 400 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
- Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE
On May 22nd, colored chicken prices saw a rebound in the Northern and Southwestern regions. In addition, duck meat prices continued to show positive developments in the Northern provinces, while the downward trend in the South persisted.
- Northern Ri chicken prices increased by 1,000-2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, with traders currently buying Ri chicken at around 51,500-54,000 VND/kg.
- Northern Mia chicken prices remained stable today, ranging from 50,000-51,000 VND/kg.
- Minh Du chicken prices continued to remain unchanged in the Central provinces, fluctuating between 44,500-46,500 VND/kg. The Southeast region also recorded no price fluctuations on May 22nd, currently trading at 42,000 – 44,000 VND/kg. The Southwestern provinces continued to see an increase of 500 VND/kg on May 22nd, with traders currently purchasing at around 44,000 – 44,500 VND/kg.
- Duck meat prices on May 22nd showed mixed trends. The North continued to increase by 500 – 1,000 VND/kg today, pushing prices up to 29,500 – 30,000 VND/kg. The Central region remained unchanged, with prices fluctuating between 29,500 – 32,000 VND/kg. Prices in the South decreased slightly by 500-1,000 VND/kg, reaching 31,000-32,500 VND/kg in the Southeast and 32,000-33,000 VND/kg in the Southwest.
