Today, May 21st, the price of live pigs shows many positive signs from the Northern market. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 68,000 – 70,000 VND/kg, nearly 1,000 VND/kg higher than the price recorded during the same period last week. Current pig prices do not differ significantly across different regions nationwide.
- Northern region: Live pig prices on May 21st increased by 1,000 VND/kg in most provinces and cities. The price across the region is currently fluctuating between 68,500 – 70,000 VND/kg, nearly 1,900 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
- Central and Central Highlands regions: A slight increase of 500 VND/kg was recorded in some provinces of the North Central region. Currently, traders are buying live pigs at around 68,000 – 68,500 VND/kg, nearly 100 VND/kg higher than the price recorded in the same period last week.
- Southern region: Live pig prices remained unchanged on May 21st. Traders are currently buying pigs at around 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, nearly 200 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
- Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.
