On August 12th, live pig prices recorded a slight increase in the Central provinces while continuing to decrease in the Southwest. Nationwide live pig purchase prices fluctuated between 56,000 and 58,500 VND/kg, averaging 57,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 2,250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.
- Northern region: Average live pig price reached 57,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 3,000 VND/kg lower than last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 56,500 to 58,500 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands region: Average live pig price reached 57,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday but still 1,000 VND/kg lower than last week. Common purchase prices range from 57,000 to 58,500 VND/kg.
- Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 56,500 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday but still 2,000 VND/kg lower than last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 57,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently range from 56,000 to 58,500 VND/kg.
- The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reaches 59,000 VND/kg, approximately 1,250 VND/kg higher than the market price, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.
