Pork prices on June 24th continued their downward trend nationwide. The average price of live pigs currently fluctuates between 62,500 and 66,500 VND/kg, averaging 64,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.
- Northern region: The average price of live pigs reached 66,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,500 VND/kg lower than last week. Prices in most localities are trading between 64,000 and 66,500 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands region: The average price of live pigs reached 63,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The prevailing purchase price currently ranges from 62,500 to 63,500 VND/kg.
- Southern region: Live pig prices are fluctuating across regions. The Southeast region decreased by 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday, down to 62,500 VND/kg; no difference has been recorded compared to last week. Meanwhile, the Southwest region remains stable at 63,500 VND/kg and is 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. The prevailing transaction price in the Southern region is currently in the range of 62,500 – 63,500 VND/kg.
- The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) is currently at 65,500 VND/kg, about 1,000 VND/kg higher than the national average live pig price, continuing to maintain a positive difference thanks to the quality and uniformity of the pig herd.
