1.PIG PRICE
Today, May 5th, live pig prices saw a slight decrease in the Southern provinces. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 64,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, nearly 800 VND/kg higher than last week’s prices, with the South continuing to maintain the highest prices nationwide.
- Northern region: No price changes were recorded on May 5th, with prices fluctuating between 64,500 – 65,500 VND/kg, nearly 1,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
- Central and Central Highlands regions: Prices remained stable today, with live pig purchase prices rising to 66,500 – 68,000 VND/kg, approximately 1,000 VND/kg higher than last week.
- Southern region: On May 5th, live pig prices decreased slightly by 500 VND/kg in the Southwestern provinces but remained stable in the Eastern region. Traders are currently buying pigs at around 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 150 VND/kg compared to last week.
- Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE
Today’s poultry prices show the following fluctuations:
- Northern Ri chicken prices decreased slightly by 500 VND/kg on May 5th, bringing the purchase price in this area to 48,500 – 50,500 VND/kg.
- Northern Mia chicken prices increased by 1,000 VND/kg on May 5th in the Southern Red River Delta region. Accordingly, the average price of Mia chicken in the North is currently fluctuating between 51,500 – 53,500 VND/kg.
- Minh Du chicken prices recorded positive developments in the Southern region. Accordingly, provinces in the Southern region recorded an increase of 500 – 1,000 VND/kg, bringing the purchase price on May 5th to 43,000 – 44,000 VND/kg. Prices in Central Vietnam remained stable compared to yesterday, with the average price across the region currently ranging from 41,500 to 42,500 VND/kg.
- Duck meat prices on May 5th continued their downward trend. Specifically, prices in Northern Vietnam decreased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating around 29,500 – 30,500 VND/kg. Prices in Central Vietnam decreased by 500-1,000 VND/kg in some areas, currently being purchased at around 30,000 – 33,000 VND/kg. Prices in Southern Vietnam decreased by 1,000-2,000 VND/kg in the Southeast region, currently fluctuating at 30,000 – 33,500 VND/kg, while prices in the Southwest region remained stable at around 34,000 – 35,000 VND/kg.
