On May 28, 2026, pork prices recorded a slight decrease, while Minh Du chicken prices continued to rise

1.PIG PRICE

Today, May 28th, live pig prices recorded a slight decrease in most areas nationwide. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 66,000 – 69,000 VND/kg, nearly 600 VND/kg lower than the price recorded during the same period last week.

• In the Northern region: live pig prices on May 28th decreased by 500 VND/kg in some provinces and cities, bringing the purchase price across the region to 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg. This price is still nearly 200 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
• Central and Central Highlands regions: A downward trend was also observed in some provinces and cities. Currently, traders are purchasing live pigs at around 66,000 – 67,500 VND/kg, a price nearly 800 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
• Southern region: Live pig prices on May 28th decreased by 500 VND/kg in most provinces and cities. Traders are currently purchasing pigs at around 66,000 – 67,500 VND/kg, a price nearly 1,500 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
• Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE

The price of colored chickens in the Northern region halted its decline on May 28th, while the price of Minh Du chickens in the Southern region continued its upward trend. Duck meat prices today continued to show positive developments, especially in the Northern provinces.

• The price of Ri chickens in the Northern region on May 28th remained unchanged compared to May 27th, with traders currently buying Ri chickens at around 51,000 – 54,000 VND/kg.
• The price of Mia chickens in the Northern region also showed no price fluctuations on May 28th. Accordingly, the price of Mia chickens in the Northern region is currently in the range of 49,500 – 50,000 VND/kg.
• The price of Minh Du chickens on May 28th continued to remain stable in the Central provinces, currently fluctuating between 44,500 – 46,500 VND/kg. In the Southern region, Minh Du chicken prices have rebounded, with an increase of 1,000 – 1,500 VND/kg, bringing the purchase price in the Eastern region to 44,000 – 46,000 VND/kg and 46,000 – 47,000 VND/kg in the Southwestern provinces.
• Duck meat prices on May 28th recorded an upward trend nationwide. The Northern region continued its impressive increase with a rise of 3,000 VND/kg today, bringing the current price of duck meat in this area to 38,000 – 39,000 VND/kg. The Central region increased by 1,000 – 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, with the current purchase price reaching 31,000 – 36,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region increased by 1,000 – 2,000 VND/kg, currently reaching 31,000 – 33,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest region increased by 500 – 1,000 VND/kg compared to May 27th, currently standing at 31,500 – 32,500 VND/kg.
