Livestock Price April 2, 2026 Update

1.PIG PRICE

  • Positive signals were recorded in the Northern and North Central regions after nearly two weeks of a sluggish market, while southern provinces maintained stable prices compared to the previous trading session. Current live hog prices range from VND 62,700 to 67,000 per kg, up slightly by nearly VND 500 per kg compared to April 1, but still about VND 1,000 per kg lower than last week.
  • Northern region: Live hog prices increased slightly by VND 500 per kg in most provinces. The regional average now ranges from VND 62,000 to 63,000 per kg, though still about VND 500 per kg lower than last week.
  • Central – Central Highlands region: An increase of VND 500 per kg was recorded in some North Central provinces. Current prices range from VND 63,000 to 65,000 per kg, up about VND 300 per kg compared to April 1, but still nearly VND 2,000 per kg lower than last week.
  • Southern region:No significant changes were recorded across most provinces. Traders are currently purchasing live hogs at VND 66,000 to 67,000 per kg, still about VND 500 per kg lower than the same time last week.
  • Live hogs of the GF24 breed, raised under standard GreenFeed processes and recognized for their high meat quality, are currently priced VND 500–1,000 per kg higher than the average market prices of other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE

  • Ri chicken: Prices remained stable across most Northern provinces, with traders purchasing at VND 49,000–50,500 per kg.
  • Mia chicken (Northern region): No price changes recorded on April 2. Current purchasing prices range from VND 51,000 to 53,000 per kg.
  • Minh Du chicken: Mixed movements were observed on April 2.
      • Central region: prices remained stable at VND 43,000–44,000 per kg.
      • Southeast region: increased by VND 500–1,000 per kg to VND 39,000–40,000 per kg.
      • Southwest region: decreased by VND 500–1,000 per kg to VND 37,500–39,000 per kg
  • Duck meat prices (as of March 25):A downward trend was recorded in Southern provinces. Prices remained stable in the North and Central regions, ranging from VND 28,000–29,000 per kg in the North and VND 31,000–34,000 per kg in the Central region.
    In the Southeast, prices decreased slightly by VND 500 per kg to VND 33,000–35,000 per kg, while in the Southwest, prices dropped by VND 500–1,000 per kg to VND 35,000–36,000 per kg.
