As part of the program, on the morning of May 17, GREENFEED collaborated with Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the Tay Ninh Farmers’ Association, and the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union to organize a support ceremony for 40 disadvantaged farming households in Phuoc Vinh Commune. Each household received a VND 25 million interest free loan along with VND 3 million in animal feed support, bringing the total support value to VND 1.12 billion. In addition, the program also awarded 40 educational support gifts worth VND 1 million each to children of participating households with strong academic results.
During the event, the story of Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen from Hoa Dong B Hamlet, Phuoc Vinh Commune, moved many attendees. After investing her savings and borrowing money to raise pigs and cattle, her family was forced to start over when disease caused the loss of their livestock. At the same time, her husband frequently traveled to Ho Chi Minh City for medical treatment, while their children were still in school. Amid all these difficulties, the support from the program came as a timely source of encouragement, giving her renewed hope to restart production, stabilize the family’s income, and continue supporting her children’s education.
Alongside the newly supported households, the program also welcomed Ms. Ngo Thi Giang, a farmer who previously received support from the Supporting Farmers Program in 2022, to share her family’s journey of overcoming hardship and offer encouragement to local households. She shared simply: “When you have support for farming and the determination to keep going, difficulties will gradually pass.” Her heartfelt words also reflect the spirit that the program hopes to continue spreading throughout its journey alongside farming communities.
In addition to financial support and livestock farming technical training, this year’s program also introduces new activities focused on raising awareness about drowning prevention, injury prevention, and disaster response skills for local students and youth union members. Through these efforts, the program hopes to support local communities not only in livelihood development, but also in equipping them with practical safety skills for daily life.
The journey of the Supporting Farmers Program 2026 has only just begun. Following Tay Ninh, the program will continue to Thai Nguyen, Gia Lai, and Lam Dong, bringing support to more farming households on their path toward sustainable livelihoods.
