SUPPORTING FARMERS 2026: RECOGNIZING OUTSTANDING FARMING HOUSEHOLDS IN DONG NAI

Each year, GREENFEED takes time to celebrate the “fruits” of the Supporting Farmers Program, reflected in both positive results and meaningful stories of change driven by the dedication of local farmers.

On April 5, the program returned to Xuan Dong and Song Ray communes in Dong Nai to hold a closing ceremony after two years of support from 2024 to 2026, achieving a 100 percent on time capital repayment rate. To recognize the farmers’ persistence and efforts, GREENFEED awarded a bonus equivalent to 20 percent of the initial loan amount, around VND 4 million per household, to 40 households, bringing the total reward to VND 160 million. This serves as a practical source of encouragement for families to continue expanding their livestock activities and building sustainable livelihoods.

Among the households recognized, the story of Ms. Phan Thi Suong from Song Ray commune stands out as a powerful example of resilience. She shared emotionally:

“Right after receiving the support, my family faced a major loss when I lost my husband, the main breadwinner. All responsibilities fell on me, and I told myself I had to stay strong for my children. During the most difficult time, the support from the program became a real foundation for me to start again with just two breeding sows. After two years of persistence, my farm has grown to five pens, giving me a stable income to support my children’s education.”

In addition, the program awarded 24 scholarships with a total value of VND 27.5 million to children of participating households with strong academic performance, encouraging them to continue their learning journey with confidence.

These recognitions today are not only the result of a two year journey of effort, but also a motivation for farmers to continue believing in a future where sustainable livestock farming can bring real change to their families’ lives. For GREENFEED, each household is not just a beneficiary, but an important part of building a strong and sustainable agricultural community.
