Pork prices on August 20th continued their upward trend in the North and Central regions. Nationwide pork purchase prices ranged from 53,500 to 59,000 VND/kg, averaging 57,500 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
- Northern region: Average pork price reached 58,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,000 VND/kg higher than last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 58,000 to 59,000 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands region: Average pork price reached 58,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,000 VND/kg higher than last week. Common purchase prices range from 57,000 to 58,500 VND/kg.
- Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 56,000 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday but still 500 VND/kg lower than last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 56,500 VND/kg, maintaining the price from yesterday but 1,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 53,500 and 57,500 VND/kg.
- The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reaches 59,000 VND/kg, about 1,300 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.
