1.PIG PRICE

Pork prices on September 18th remained stable in the North, decreased slightly in the Central provinces, but reversed to increase in the Southern provinces. Nationwide pork purchase prices currently range from 57,000 to 59,500 VND/kg, averaging 58,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

• Northern region: Average pork price reached 59,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices fluctuated between 58,500 and 59,500 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands region: Average pork price reached 58,500 VND/kg, down 250 VND/kg from yesterday and 500 VND/kg compared to the same period last week. Purchase prices fluctuate between 57,500 and 59,500 VND/kg.
• Southern region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 58,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 250 VND/kg compared to the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 58,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday but 250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 57,000 and 58,500 VND/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reaches 59,500 VND/kg, approximately 1,050 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On September 18th, the poultry market saw an increase in Ri chicken prices in the North, while Mia chicken prices decreased slightly. Minh Du chicken prices remained generally stable, while duck meat prices continued to fall sharply, especially in the Southwest.

• Ri chicken prices in the North increased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently trading between 44,000 and 47,500 VND/kg.
• Mia chicken prices in the North decreased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating between 45,500 and 48,000 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices remained stable at 40,500 VND/kg.
• The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 38,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Prices in the Central region showed no change, currently hovering around 36,000-40,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region remained stable at 36,000 – 36,500 VND/kg. The Southwest region saw no price fluctuations, generally ranging from 36,500 – 38,750 VND/kg.
• The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 41,000 VND/kg, a sharp decrease of 1,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in the North decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently at 43,000 – 44,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Central region decreased by 250 VND/kg, currently around 33,500 – 40,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region remained stable at 33,000 – 36,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest region decreased sharply by 5,000 VND/kg, with traders currently purchasing at around 37,500 – 40,000 VND/kg.
