1.PIG PRICE

Pork prices on August 20th continued their upward trend in the North and Central regions. Nationwide pork purchase prices ranged from 53,500 to 59,000 VND/kg, averaging 57,500 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.

• Northern region: Average pork price reached 58,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,000 VND/kg higher than last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 58,000 to 59,000 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands region: Average pork price reached 58,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,000 VND/kg higher than last week. Common purchase prices range from 57,000 to 58,500 VND/kg.
• Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 56,000 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday but still 500 VND/kg lower than last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 56,500 VND/kg, maintaining the price from yesterday but 1,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 53,500 and 57,500 VND/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reaches 59,000 VND/kg, about 1,300 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

Poultry market prices on August 20th: Prices of Ri and Mia chickens decreased slightly in the Northern provinces. Conversely, Minh Du chicken prices increased in the Southern provinces. Duck meat prices continued their upward trend, especially in the Central and Southeastern regions.

• Ri chicken prices in the North decreased by 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently trading in the range of 45,000 – 48,500 VND/kg.
• Mia chicken prices in the North decreased by 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating in the range of 44,500 – 49,000 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices remained stable at 37,500 VND/kg.
• The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 37,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in the Central region remained stable in the range of 36,000 – 36,500 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices increased by 500 VND/kg, currently fluctuating between 35,750 and 37,500 VND/kg. The Southwest region also saw an increase of 500 VND/kg, generally around 37,000 to 39,000 VND/kg.
• The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 42,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The North increased by 500 VND/kg, trading in the range of 36,000 to 44,500 VND/kg. The Central region saw a sharp increase of 1,500 VND/kg, bringing the purchase price to 45,000 to 46,500 VND/kg. The Southeast region increased by 1,500 VND/kg, currently reaching 45,500 to 48,000 VND/kg. In the Southwest region, prices increased slightly by 250 VND/kg, with traders currently buying at around 45,500 – 48,000 VND/kg.
