On May 12, 2026, pork prices recorded a slight increase, while duck meat prices continued to decline

1.PIG PRICE

Today, May 12th, live pig prices remained stable nationwide, trading at around 67,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, nearly 1,700 VND/kg higher than last week’s prices. The price difference between the North and South has narrowed significantly, now only 1,000 – 2,000 VND/kg.

  • Northern region: Live pig prices remained unchanged today, fluctuating between 67,500 – 68,000 VND/kg, nearly 3,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
  • Central and Central Highlands regions: No price fluctuations were recorded today, May 12th. Traders in the region are buying live pigs at around 68,000 – 68,500 VND/kg, nearly 1,000 VND/kg higher than last week.
  • Southern regions: Prices remained stable today, May 12th. Traders are currently buying pigs at around 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, a decrease of nearly 250 VND/kg compared to last week.
  • Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE

Prices for Ri Lai and Lai Choi chickens on May 12th increased slightly by 500 VND/kg in the Northern region but decreased by 500 VND/kg in the Southern provinces. In addition, duck meat prices continued to decrease in the Central region. Other regions recorded no price fluctuations on May 12th.

  • Ri chicken prices in the North increased by 500 VND/kg on May 12th in the Southern Red River Delta region, with traders currently buying Ri chickens at around 48,500 – 50,000 VND/kg.
  • Mia chicken prices in the North on May 12th remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the average price of Mía chicken in the North is currently in the range of 49,500 – 50,500 VND/kg.
  • Minh Du chicken prices decreased in the Southern provinces. Accordingly, prices in the Central provinces remained stable on May 12th, with the average price across the region currently at 43,500 – 45,500 VND/kg. On the other hand, prices in the Southern provinces saw a slight decrease today, currently trading at around 43,000 – 44,000 VND/kg in the Southeast region and around 43,000 – 44,000 VND/kg in the Southwest provinces.
  • Duck meat prices on May 12th recorded a decrease in some Central provinces. Specifically, prices in the North remained stable today, currently around 27,000 – 28,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Central region decreased by 500 – 1,000 VND/kg in some provinces, currently being purchased at around 30,000 – 32,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region remained stable on May 12th, currently around 33,000 – 34,000 VND/kg, while prices in the Southwest region remained in the range of 33,000 – 33,500 VND/kg.
