1.PIG PRICE
Today, May 18th, the price of live pigs remains unchanged at the beginning of the week. Live pigs are being bought and sold at around 67,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, 350 VND/kg higher than last week’s price. The price difference between the North and South has narrowed significantly.
- Northern region: Live pig prices continue to be stable on Monday, May 18th, fluctuating between 67,500 – 68,000 VND/kg, nearly 500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
- Central and Central Highlands region: No price changes were recorded in today’s trading session (May 18th). Traders in the region are buying live pigs at around 68,000 – 68,500 VND/kg, the same price as last week.
- Southern region: Live pig prices remain stable today, May 18th. Traders are currently purchasing pigs at around 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, a price similar to that recorded during the same period last week.
- Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price offered by other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE
On May 18th, chicken prices in Northern Vietnam saw a slight increase, while the price of hybrid Ri chickens continued its downward trend in the provinces south of the Red River Delta. Minh Du chicken prices reversed course and increased in the Southwestern provinces. Meanwhile, duck meat prices also showed contrasting trends in the North and South, with an increase in the South and a decrease in the North.
- Northern Ri chicken prices today, May 18th, increased by 500-1,000 VND/kg compared to May 16th, with traders currently buying Ri chickens at around 50,500-51,500 VND/kg.
- Northern Mia chicken prices continued to decrease slightly by 500 VND/kg in the provinces south of the Red River Delta. Accordingly, the average price of Mia chicken in Northern Vietnam is currently around 50,000-51,000 VND/kg.
- Minh Du chicken prices are stable in the Central provinces, fluctuating between 44,500 and 46,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region decreased slightly by 500 VND/kg to 42,000-45,000 VND/kg, but increased by 500 VND/kg in the Southwest region, bringing prices there to 43,500-44,500 VND/kg.
- Duck meat prices on May 18th decreased by 1,000 VND/kg in the Northern provinces, bringing prices in that region to 25,000-26,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Central region decreased by 1,000 VND/kg in some provinces, currently at 29,500-31,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region have increased by 1,000-2,000 VND/kg compared to May 16th, currently reaching 32,500-35,000 VND/kg, while prices in the Southwest region have increased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to May 16th, reaching 31,000-32,500 VND/kg.
