1.PIG PRICE

Pork prices on August 10th showed a downward trend in the Northern and Central provinces. Nationwide pork purchase prices ranged from 56,000 to 60,000 VND/kg, averaging 58,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to August 8th and 2,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

  • Northern region: Average pork price reached 58,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,500 VND/kg compared to August 8th and 2,750 VND/kg lower than the previous week. Common transaction prices ranged from 57,500 to 59,000 VND/kg.
  • Central and Central Highlands Region: The average price of live pigs reached VND 57,500/kg, a decrease of VND 500/kg compared to August 8th and VND 2,750/kg lower than the previous week. The common purchase price ranges from VND 57,000 to VND 58,000/kg.
  • Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached VND 57,000/kg, a decrease of VND 250/kg compared to August 8th and VND 3,750/kg lower than the previous week. The average price in the Southwest region reached VND 59,000/kg, unchanged from August 8th and VND 1,250/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently range from VND 56,000 to VND 60,000/kg.
  • The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to GREENFEED standards) is currently 59,500 VND/kg, about 950 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage thanks to the high quality of its meat, which is highly valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On August 10th, the poultry market saw strong price increases for Ri and Mia chickens in the Northern provinces, while Minh Du chickens recovered in the Central and Southeastern regions. Duck meat prices increased in the North and Central regions but decreased slightly in the Southeastern provinces.

  • Ri chicken prices in the North increased by 250 VND/kg compared to August 8th, currently trading between 45,000 and 48,500 VND/kg.
  • Mia chicken prices in the North increased sharply by 1,750 VND/kg compared to August 8th, currently fluctuating between 43,500 and 48,500 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices increased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently trading commonly between 38,000 and 38,500 VND/kg.
  • The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 37,000 VND/kg, an increase of 750 VND/kg compared to August 8th. In Central Vietnam, the price increased by 1,500 VND/kg, reaching 36,500 – 38,000 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, the price increased by 1,000 VND/kg, trading in the range of 36,250 – 37,000 VND/kg. In the Southwest region, the price remained stable at 35,000 – 38,000 VND/kg.
  • The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 39,500 VND/kg, an increase of 750 VND/kg compared to August 8th. In Northern Vietnam, the price increased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently trading in the range of 35,000 – 37,000 VND/kg. In Central Vietnam, prices increased by 1,000 VND/kg, commonly ranging from 36,000 to 45,000 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices decreased by 500 VND/kg, currently at 44,500 to 46,000 VND/kg. In the Southwest region, prices increased by 500 VND/kg, with traders currently buying around 45,500 to 47,000 VND/kg.
