On May 7, 2026, pork prices increased slightly while colored chicken prices recorded a downward trend.

1.PIG PRICE

Today, May 7th, live pig prices recorded a slight increase of 500-1,000 VND/kg in the Northern and Central regions. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 66,500-69,000 VND/kg, nearly 1,800 VND/kg higher than last week’s prices. The Southern region continues to maintain the highest prices nationwide.

  • Northern region: Prices continued to increase by 1,000 VND/kg on May 7th, reaching 66,500-67,000 VND/kg, nearly 3,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
  • Central and Central Highlands regions: prices increased slightly by 500 VND/kg in some provinces and cities, with the current average purchase price of live pigs reaching 67,500 – 68,000 VND/kg, nearly 1,200 VND/kg higher than last week.
  • Southern region: live pig prices remained unchanged on May 7th, with traders currently purchasing pigs at around 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, a decrease of nearly 150 VND/kg compared to last week.
  • Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On May 7th, the price of colored chickens decreased by nearly 500-1,000 VND/kg in the Northern and Southeastern regions. Meanwhile, the price of roasted duck meat increased slightly by 500-1,000 VND/kg in the Central and Southwestern regions but decreased in the Eastern provinces. Other regions recorded no price fluctuations on May 7th.

  • The price of Ri chickens in the North remained unchanged on May 7th, with traders currently buying Ri chickens at around 48,500-51,000 VND/kg.
  • The price of Mia chickens in the North continued to decrease by 1,000 VND/kg on May 7th in the Southern Red River Delta provinces. Accordingly, the average price of Mia chickens in the North is currently around 50,500-51,500 VND/kg.
  • The price of Minh Du chickens saw a slight decrease in the Southeastern region. Accordingly, the provinces in the Southeast region recorded a decrease of 500-1,000 VND/kg today, with traders currently buying at around 43,000-44,500 VND/kg. The provinces in the Mekong Delta maintained prices on May 7th, currently ranging from 44,000-45,000 VND/kg. The provinces in the Central region did not record any price fluctuations, with the average price across the region currently ranging from 41,500-42,500 VND/kg.
  • The price of duck meat on May 7th showed mixed trends. Specifically, the Northern region maintained prices compared to yesterday, currently around 28,000-29,000 VND/kg. The Central region saw a slight increase of 500-1,000 VND/kg, currently being purchased at around 31,500-34,000 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices decreased by 500-1,000 VND/kg, now at 31,500-32,000 VND/kg, while in the Southwest region, prices increased slightly by 500-1,000 VND/kg, reaching 33,000-34,500 VND/kg.
