On May 7, 2026 colored chicken prices recorded a downward trend

On May 7th, the price of colored chickens decreased by nearly 500-1,000 VND/kg in the Northern and Southeastern regions. Meanwhile, the price of roasted duck meat increased slightly by 500-1,000 VND/kg in the Central and Southwestern regions but decreased in the Eastern provinces. Other regions recorded no price fluctuations on May 7th.

  • The price of Ri chickens in the North remained unchanged on May 7th, with traders currently buying Ri chickens at around 48,500-51,000 VND/kg.
  • The price of Mia chickens in the North continued to decrease by 1,000 VND/kg on May 7th in the Southern Red River Delta provinces. Accordingly, the average price of Mia chickens in the North is currently around 50,500-51,500 VND/kg.
  • The price of Minh Du chickens saw a slight decrease in the Southeastern region. Accordingly, the provinces in the Southeast region recorded a decrease of 500-1,000 VND/kg today, with traders currently buying at around 43,000-44,500 VND/kg. The provinces in the Mekong Delta maintained prices on May 7th, currently ranging from 44,000-45,000 VND/kg. The provinces in the Central region did not record any price fluctuations, with the average price across the region currently ranging from 41,500-42,500 VND/kg.
  • The price of duck meat on May 7th showed mixed trends. Specifically, the Northern region maintained prices compared to yesterday, currently around 28,000-29,000 VND/kg. The Central region saw a slight increase of 500-1,000 VND/kg, currently being purchased at around 31,500-34,000 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices decreased by 500-1,000 VND/kg, now at 31,500-32,000 VND/kg, while in the Southwest region, prices increased slightly by 500-1,000 VND/kg, reaching 33,000-34,500 VND/kg.
