1.PIG PRICE
Today, May 4th, the price of live pigs shows positive signs from the Northern and Central markets after the holiday period. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 64,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, an increase of nearly 1,000 VND/kg compared to last week’s prices. The Southern region continues to maintain the highest prices nationwide.
- Northern region: The price of live pigs on May 4th increased by 1,000 VND/kg after the holiday, with prices across the region currently fluctuating between 64,500 – 65,500 VND/kg. This is nearly 1,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
- Central and Central Highlands regions: continued growth with an increase of 500-1,000 VND/kg, pushing the current pig purchase price to 66,500-68,000 VND/kg, about 1,000 VND/kg higher than last week.
- Southern region: pig prices on May 4th increased slightly by 500 VND/kg in the Southeastern provinces but remained stable in the Western region. Traders are currently purchasing pigs at around 69,000 VND/kg, still nearly 200 VND/kg higher than last week.
- The price of GF24 pigs, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, is currently selling at a price 500-1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE
Poultry prices today show the following fluctuations:
- Northern Ri chicken prices decreased slightly by 500 VND/kg on April 29th, bringing the purchase price of Ri chicken in the North to 49,500 – 51,500 VND/kg.
- Northern Mia chicken prices also decreased on April 29th, by approximately 1,000 VND/kg. Accordingly, the average price of Mia chicken in the North is fluctuating between 51,500 – 52,500 VND/kg.
- Minh Du chicken prices showed mixed trends. Central Vietnam saw an increase of 1,000 VND/kg in some areas, bringing the average price across the region to 41,500 – 42,500 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices increased by 500 VND/kg in some areas, bringing the purchase price on May 4th to 43,000 – 44,000 VND/kg. In the Southwest region, prices reversed and decreased today, currently trading in the range of 43,000 – 43,500 VND/kg.
- Duck meat prices on May 4th showed a downward trend. Specifically, prices in the North remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating around 30,000 – 31,000 VND/kg. The Central region recorded a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg in some areas, currently purchasing in the range of 31,000 – 35,000 VND/kg. In the Southern region, prices decreased by 500-1,000 VND/kg, currently fluctuating between 32,500-34,000 VND/kg in the Southeast and approximately 34,000-35,000 VND/kg in the Southwest.
