1.PIG PRICE

Pork prices on August 28th saw a slight increase in the Northern provinces. Nationwide pork purchase prices ranged from 55,500 to 59,000 VND/kg, averaging 58,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.

• Northern region: Average pork price reached 58,000 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and unchanged from last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 58,000 to 58,500 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands region: Average pork price reached 58,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and the same period last week. Common purchase prices ranged from 56,500 to 58,500 VND/kg.
• Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 56,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 250 VND/kg higher than last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 58,000 VND/kg, maintaining the same price as yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. Current trading prices in the Southern region range from 55,500 to 59,000 VND/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) is currently 59,000 VND/kg, approximately 1,050 VND/kg higher than the market price, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat, which is highly valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On August 28th, the poultry market in the Northern region saw a slight increase of 500 VND/kg in both Ri and Mia chicken prices. Minh Du chicken prices decreased slightly in the Southern provinces. Duck meat prices increased slightly in the Northern, Central, and Southeastern provinces, while prices decreased and remained stable in the Southwestern provinces.

• Ri chicken prices in the North increased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently trading between 44,500 and 48,000 VND/kg.
• Mia chicken prices in the North also increased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating between 45,000 and 49,000 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices remained stable at 37,500 VND/kg.
• The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 36,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in Central Vietnam remained stable at around 35,000 – 36,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast decreased by 500 VND/kg, currently fluctuating between 35,000 – 37,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest decreased by 250 VND/kg, with traders buying around 36,500 – 37,000 VND/kg.
• The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 45,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Prices in Northern Vietnam increased slightly by 250 VND/kg, currently reaching 43,500 – 45,500 VND/kg. Prices in Central Vietnam decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, fluctuating between 44,500 – 47,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast decreased by 750 VND/kg, currently trading in the range of 44,500 – 45,500 VND/kg. In the Southwest region, prices remained around 45,000 – 46,500 VND/kg.
