1.PIG PRICE
On August 31st, live pig prices maintained a slight upward trend in Central Vietnam but reversed to a decrease in Southern provinces. Nationwide live pig purchase prices fluctuated between 55,000 and 59,000 VND/kg, averaging 58,000 VND/kg, remaining unchanged from August 29th and the same as the previous week.
- Northern Vietnam: Average live pig price reached 58,500 VND/kg, unchanged from August 29th and the previous week. Common transaction prices ranged from 58,000 to 58,500 VND/kg.
- Central Vietnam – Central Highlands: Average live pig price reached 58,500 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to August 29th and 750 VND/kg higher than the previous week. Common purchase prices range from 57,000 to 59,000 VND/kg.
- Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 56,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to August 29th and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 57,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to August 29th and unchanged compared to the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently range from 55,000 to 58,500 VND/kg.
The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reaches 59,000 VND/kg, about 1,000 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE
Poultry market on August 31st: Ri chicken prices increased in the North, while Mia chicken prices decreased slightly. Minh Du chicken prices rebounded in the Central and Southern provinces. On the other hand, duck meat prices increased in most areas, except for the Southeast region which saw a decrease.
- Ri chicken prices in the North increased by 500 VND/kg compared to August 29th, currently trading in the range of 45,500 – 48,500 VND/kg.
- Mia chicken prices in the North decreased by 250 VND/kg compared to August 29th, currently fluctuating in the range of 45,500 – 48,000 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices increased sharply by 1,000 VND/kg, reaching 39,500 VND/kg.
- The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 37,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to August 29th. Prices in Central Vietnam increased sharply by 1,750 VND/kg, currently trading in the range of 36,000 – 38,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region increased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently reaching 36,000 – 37,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest region increased by 500 VND/kg, commonly ranging from 37,000 – 37,500 VND/kg.
- The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 44,500 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to August 29th. Prices in Northern Vietnam increased by 250 VND/kg, currently hovering around 44,000 – 45,500 VND/kg. In Central Vietnam, prices increased by 500 VND/kg, fluctuating between 43,000 and 44,500 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices decreased by 500 VND/kg, currently at 42,500-44,000 VND/kg. In the Southwest region, prices increased by 250 VND/kg, with traders buying at around 45,000-46,000 VND/kg.
