1.PIG PRICE

Today, May 8th, live pig prices recorded a slight increase of 500 VND/kg in the Central region. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 66,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, nearly 1,900 VND/kg higher than last week’s prices. The Southern region continues to maintain the highest prices nationwide.

  • In the Northern region: live pig prices remained stable on May 8th, currently trading at around 66,500 – 67,000 VND/kg, nearly 3,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
  • Central and Central Highlands regions: prices increased slightly by 500 VND/kg in most provinces and cities. Traders in the region are currently buying live pigs at around 68,000 – 68,500 VND/kg, nearly 1,700 VND/kg higher than last week.
  • Southern regions: prices remained stable today, May 8th. Traders are currently buying pigs at around 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, a decrease of nearly 150 VND/kg compared to last week.
  • Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On May 8th, the price of colored chickens decreased slightly by 500 VND/kg in the Northern and Southwestern regions, while increasing slightly in the Southeastern provinces. In addition, the price of duck meat decreased slightly by 500-1,000 VND/kg in some provinces in the Central and Southwestern regions. Other regions recorded no price fluctuations on May 8th.

  • The price of Ri chickens in the North remained stable on May 8th, with traders currently buying Ri chickens at around 48,500 – 51,000 VND/kg.
  • The price of Mia chickens in the North decreased by 500 VND/kg on May 8th in the provinces north of the Red River Delta. Accordingly, the price of Mia chickens in the North is currently in the range of 50,000 – 51,500 VND/kg.
  • The price of Minh Du chickens showed mixed trends in the Southern region. Accordingly, the Central provinces recorded no price fluctuations, with the average price across the region currently ranging from 41,500 to 42,500 VND/kg. The Southeast region saw an increase of 500-1,000 VND/kg today, bringing the purchase price across the region to 43,500-44,500 VND/kg. The Western provinces saw a slight decrease of 500 VND/kg today, currently ranging from 43,500 to 44,000 VND/kg.
  • Duck meat prices on May 8th decreased in the Central and Southern regions. Specifically, the Northern region remained stable today, currently around 28,000-29,000 VND/kg. The Central region saw a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg in some provinces, currently being purchased at around 31,500-33,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region remained stable at around 31,500 – 32,500 VND/kg, while prices in the Southwest region decreased by 500 – 1,000 VND/kg, currently hovering around 33,000 – 33,500 VND/kg.
