Pork prices on July 7th continued their upward trend across all regions. Nationwide prices ranged from 62,500 to 66,000 VND/kg, averaging 64,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
- Northern Region: Average pork price reached 65,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 750 VND/kg higher than last week. Prices in most localities are trading between 64,000 and 66,000 VND/kg.
- Central and Central Highlands Region: Average pork price reached 63,000 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 750 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. The prevailing purchase price currently ranges from 62,500 to 63,500 VND/kg.
- Southern Region: Live pig prices continue to increase in both regions. The Southeast region increased by 500 VND/kg to 62,500 VND/kg, 500 VND/kg higher than last week. The Southwest region also increased by 500 VND/kg to 63,000 VND/kg, 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. The prevailing transaction price in the Southern region is currently in the range of 62,500 – 63,000 VND/kg.
- The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reaches 65,000 VND/kg, about 1,000 VND/kg higher than the national average live pig price, continuing to maintain a positive difference thanks to the quality and uniformity of the pig herd.
