1.PIG PRICE

On September 24th, live pig prices showed a downward trend in the Northern provinces, while slightly increasing in some provinces in the Southwestern region. Nationwide live pig purchase prices currently range from 57,000 to 59,000 VND/kg, averaging 58,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

• Northern region: Average live pig price reached 58,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices fluctuated between 58,000 and 59,000 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands region: Average live pig price reached 58,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Purchase prices fluctuate between 57,000 and 59,000 VND/kg.
• Southern region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 57,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 58,000 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 500 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 57,000 and 58,500 VND/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reaches 59,500 VND/kg, approximately 1,150 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On September 24th, the poultry market saw price increases for both Ri and Mia chickens in the North, while Minh Du chicken prices decreased slightly in the Southwestern provinces. Duck meat prices also decreased slightly in the North and Southeastern regions but increased slightly in the Central region.

• Ri chicken prices in the North increased by 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently trading between 46,000 and 48,000 VND/kg.
• Mia chicken prices in the North increased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating between 47,000 and 49,000 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices remained around 41,000 VND/kg.
• The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 38,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in the Central region remained between 37,000 and 41,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region remained unchanged, fluctuating between 37,000 and 37,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest region decreased by 500 VND/kg, generally ranging from 36,500 to 37,750 VND/kg.
• The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 38,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Prices in the North decreased by 250 VND/kg, currently at 40,000-41,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Central region increased by 500 VND/kg, currently reaching 33,000-37,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region decreased by 500 VND/kg, fluctuating between 33,000 and 35,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest region remained unchanged, with traders currently purchasing at around 35,500-36,000 VND/kg.
