1.PIG PRICE

Pork prices remained stable nationwide on September 23rd. The nationwide purchase price for live pigs currently ranges from 56,500 to 59,500 VND/kg, averaging 58,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 750 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

• Northern Region: The average price for live pigs is 59,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 750 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices fluctuate between 58,500 and 59,500 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands Region: The average price for live pigs is 58,000 VND/kg, showing no price change compared to yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Purchase prices fluctuate between 57,000 and 59,000 VND/kg.
• Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 57,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region also reached 57,500 VND/kg, maintaining the same price as yesterday and 500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Current trading prices in the Southern region range from 56,500 to 58,500 VND/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) is currently 59,500 VND/kg, approximately 1,050 VND/kg higher than the market price, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat, which is highly valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On September 23rd, the poultry market saw a slight increase in Ri chicken prices in the North, while Mia chicken prices decreased. Minh Du chicken prices also saw a slight decrease in the Southwest, and duck meat prices decreased in the Central and Southwest regions.

• Ri chicken prices in the North increased by 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently trading between 46,000 and 47,500 VND/kg.
• Mia chicken prices in the North decreased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating between 46,000 and 48,500 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices remained unchanged at 41,000 VND/kg.
• The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 38,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in Central Vietnam remained stable, currently trading between 37,000 and 41,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region stayed within the range of 37,000 to 37,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest region decreased by 500 VND/kg, generally ranging from 36,500 to 38,250 VND/kg.
• The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 38,500 VND/kg, down 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in Northern Vietnam remained stable within the range of 40,500 to 42,500 VND/kg. Prices in Central Vietnam decreased by 500 VND/kg, currently at 33,000 to 36,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region remained stable, currently around 32,500 to 36,000 VND/kg. In the Southwest region, prices have decreased by 500 VND/kg, with traders currently buying at around 35,500 – 36,000 VND/kg.
