On May 20, 2026, the price of live pigs decreased slightly, while the price of duck meat recorded positive developments in the northern provinces

1.PIG PRICE

Today, May 20th, live pig prices have slightly decreased in some provinces in the Central and Southeastern regions. Live pigs are currently being bought and sold at around 67,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, 400 VND/kg higher than the price recorded during the same period last week. Current pig prices do not vary significantly across different regions nationwide.

  • Northern region: Live pig prices on May 20th remain unchanged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, nearly 1,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
  • Central and Central Highlands regions: A slight decrease of 500-1,000 VND/kg was recorded in some provinces and cities. Currently, traders are buying live pigs at around 67,500-68,000 VND/kg, a decrease of nearly 400 VND/kg compared to the price recorded in the same period last week.
  • Southern region: Live pig prices recorded a slight decrease of 500 VND/kg in some provinces in the Southeast region on May 20th. Traders are currently buying pigs at around 68,500-69,000 VND/kg, nearly 200 VND/kg lower than the price recorded in the same period last week.
  • Pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling for 500-1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price offered by other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE

Chicken prices decreased on May 20th in both Northern and Southern Vietnam. Meanwhile, duck meat prices also saw positive developments in the Northern provinces, while experiencing a slight decrease in the Southeastern region.

  • Northern Ri chicken prices decreased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to May 19th, with traders currently buying Ri chicken at around 50,500 – 52,000 VND/kg.
  • Northern Mia chicken prices remained unchanged on May 20th, currently ranging from 50,500 – 51,500 VND/kg.
  • Minh Du chicken prices continued to remain stable in the Central provinces, fluctuating between 44,500 – 46,500 VND/kg. The Southeast region recorded a decrease of 500-1,000 VND/kg on May 20th, currently at 42,000-44,500 VND/kg. The Southwest region saw a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, with traders currently buying at around 43,000-43,500 VND/kg.
  • Duck meat prices on May 20th showed mixed trends. The North continued to increase by 500 VND/kg, pushing prices up to 26,500-27,500 VND/kg. The Central region remained unchanged, with prices fluctuating between 29,500-32,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region continued to decline by 500-1,000 VND/kg compared to May 19th, currently ranging from 31,000-33,000 VND/kg, while prices in the Southwest region remained stable at around 33,000-33,500 VND/kg.
