1.PIG PRICE

On October 7th, live pig prices showed a downward trend in the Southern provinces, while remaining unchanged in the Northern provinces compared to yesterday. Nationwide live pig purchase prices currently range from 52,000 to 54,500 VND/kg, averaging 53,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 3,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

• Northern region: Average live pig price reached 52,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 3,250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices fluctuated between 52,000 and 52,500 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands region: Average live pig price reached 52,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 4,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Purchase prices fluctuate between 52,500 and 53,500 VND/kg.
• Southern region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 53,000 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 3,250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 54,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 52,500 and 54,500 VND/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) is currently 54,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. The price of GF24 piglets is currently about 1,000 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage thanks to the high quality of its meat, which is highly valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On October 7th, the poultry market saw price increases for Ri and Mia chickens in the North, while Minh Du chicken prices remained generally stable nationwide. Duck meat prices decreased significantly, particularly in the Northern provinces.

• Ri chicken prices in the North increased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently trading between 44,500 and 46,500 VND/kg.
• Mia chicken prices in the North also increased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating between 46,500 and 48,000 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices remained around 43,500 VND/kg.
• The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 39,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Prices in the Central region are currently fluctuating between 38,500 and 42,500 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices are around 38,500 – 39,500 VND/kg. In the Southwest region, prices are generally between 37,500 – 39,000 VND/kg.
• The average price of duck meat nationwide is 37,500 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in the North decreased by 2,000 VND/kg, currently at 38,500 – 40,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Central region remained stable at 34,500 – 36,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region decreased by 250 VND/kg, currently fluctuating around 34,500 – 35,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest region decreased by 250 VND/kg, with traders currently buying at around 35,500 – 36,500 VND/kg.
