1.PIG PRICE

Pork prices on September 16th saw a slight increase in some provinces in the Southeast region. Nationwide pork purchase prices currently range from 57,500 to 60,500 VND/kg, averaging 59,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.

• Northern region: Average pork price reached 59,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. Transaction prices fluctuated between 59,500 and 60,000 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands region: Average pork price reached 59,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 750 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. Purchase prices fluctuated between 58,000 and 60,500 VND/kg.
• Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 58,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 250 VND/kg higher than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 58,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and the same period last week. Current transaction prices in the Southern region range from 57,500 to 58,500 VND/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently stands at 60,000 VND/kg, approximately 1,150 VND/kg higher than the market price, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat, which is highly valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On September 16th, the poultry market saw stable prices for Ri and Mia chickens in the North, while Minh Du chicken prices increased in the Central and Southeastern regions. Conversely, duck meat prices continued to fall nationwide, with the Southeastern region experiencing the sharpest decline.

• Ri chicken prices in the North remained stable at 43,000 – 46,000 VND/kg.
• Mia chicken prices in the North showed no change compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating between 45,500 – 48,000 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices remained stable at 40,500 VND/kg.
• The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 38,000 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in the Central region increased by 250 VND/kg, currently ranging from 40,000 – 40,000 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices increased by 500 VND/kg, fluctuating between 36,000 and 36,500 VND/kg. The Southwest region saw no change, generally ranging from 36,500 to 39,000 VND/kg.
• The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 42,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in the North decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently trading between 43,500 and 45,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Central region decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently fluctuating between 34,000 and 42,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region decreased sharply by 1,750 VND/kg, currently around 34,000 to 36,000 VND/kg. In the Southwest region, prices have decreased by 500 VND/kg, with traders currently buying at around 41,500 – 46,500 VND/kg.
