Pork prices on August 3rd showed a downward trend in the Northern and Southwestern regions. Nationwide prices fluctuated between 59,000 and 62,000 VND/kg, averaging 61,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to August 1st and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

  • Northern region: Average pork price reached 61,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to August 1st and 1,000 VND/kg lower than the previous week. Common transaction prices ranged from 60,000 to 62,000 VND/kg.
  • Central and Central Highlands region: Average pork price reached 60,000 VND/kg, remaining stable compared to August 1st but still 1,500 VND/kg lower than the previous week. Common purchase prices range from 59,500 to 61,000 VND/kg.
  • Southern Region: The Southeast region maintained an average price of 60,500 VND/kg, unchanged from August 1st and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the previous week. The Southwest region reached 60,500 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg from August 1st and 2,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Common transaction prices in the Southern region are currently in the range of 59,000 – 61,000 VND/kg.
  • The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) is currently 61,500 VND/kg, about 800 VND/kg higher than the national average live pig price, continuing to maintain its advantage in quality and farming efficiency.
