1.PIG PRICE

Pork prices on October 1st continued their downward trend in the North and Central regions, while the South halted its decline. Nationwide pork purchase prices currently range from 55,000 to 57,000 VND/kg, averaging 55,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

• Northern region: Average pork price reached 55,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 3,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices fluctuated between 55,000 and 56,000 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands Region: The average price of live pigs reached 56,000 VND/kg, down 750 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Purchase prices fluctuated between 55,500 and 56,500 VND/kg.
• Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 56,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 1,250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 56,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday and 1,750 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between 55,500 and 57,000 VND/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to GREENFEED standards) is currently 56,500 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The price of GF24 piglets is currently about 800 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, maintaining its advantage thanks to the high quality of its meat, which is highly valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On October 1st, the poultry market saw a decrease in the prices of Ri and Mia chickens in the Northern provinces. Prices for Minh Du chickens and meat ducks also decreased in the Southwestern provinces but remained stable in other regions.

• Ri chicken prices in the North decreased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently trading between 45,000 and 47,000 VND/kg.
• Mia chicken prices in the North decreased by 750 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently fluctuating between 46,500 and 47,500 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday, continuing to maintain at 43,000 VND/kg.
• The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 38,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in the Central region remained stable between 38,000 and 42,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region remained unchanged, currently around 38,000 – 38,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest region decreased by 500 VND/kg, generally ranging from 37,000 – 38,000 VND/kg.
• The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 39,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Prices in the North remained stable at 41,000 – 42,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Central region remained unchanged, currently around 33,500 – 37,500 VND/kg. Prices in the Southeast region decreased by 250 VND/kg, currently at 34,000 – 37,000 VND/kg. Prices in the Southwest region also decreased by 250 VND/kg, with traders currently purchasing at around 35,000 – 36,500 VND/kg.
