Pork prices on August 17th continued their downward trend in most regions. Nationwide pork purchase prices ranged from 54,500 to 57,500 VND/kg, averaging 56,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to August 15th and 1,750 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

  • Northern region: Average pork price reached 57,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to August 15th and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the previous week. Common transaction prices ranged from 56,000 to 57,500 VND/kg.
  • Central and Central Highlands Region: The average price of live pigs reached 56,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to August 15th and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the previous week. The common purchase price ranges from 55,000 to 56,500 VND/kg.
  • Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 55,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to August 15th and 1,500 VND/kg lower than the previous week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 56,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg and 2,750 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently range from 54,500 to 57,000 VND/kg.
  • The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to GREENFEED standards) is currently 57,500 VND/kg, about 950 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage thanks to the high quality of its meat, which is highly valued by traders.
