Pork prices on August 13th showed a downward trend nationwide. The nationwide purchase price for live pigs ranged from 55,500 to 58,000 VND/kg, averaging 57,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

  • Northern region: The average price for live pigs reached 57,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 3,250 VND/kg lower than last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 56,000 to 58,000 VND/kg.
  • Central and Central Highlands region: The average price for live pigs reached 57,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,000 VND/kg lower than last week. Common purchase prices range from 56,500 to 58,000 VND/kg.
  • Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 56,500 VND/kg, down 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg compared to last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 57,500 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,000 VND/kg compared to the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently range from 55,500 to 58,000 VND/kg.
  • The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) currently reaches 58,500 VND/kg, approximately 1,150 VND/kg higher than the market price, continuing to maintain its advantage due to the high quality of the meat valued by traders.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On August 13th, the poultry market saw stable prices for Ri chickens in the North, while Mia chickens saw a rebound. Minh Du chicken prices remained generally stable in the Central and Southeastern regions but decreased slightly in the Southwestern region. Duck meat prices decreased in the North but increased in the Southern provinces.

  • Ri chicken prices in the North remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently trading between 45,000 and 47,500 VND/kg.
  • Mia chicken prices in the North increased by 750 VND/kg compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 43,500 and 49,000 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices remained stable at around 37,500 to 38,000 VND/kg.
  • The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 37,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in Central Vietnam remained stable at around 36,500 – 38,500 VND/kg. The Southeast region saw no change, trading within the range of 36,000 – 36,500 VND/kg. The Southwest region decreased by 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently trading in the range of 36,000 – 37,500 VND/kg.
  • The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 39,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The North saw a sharp decrease of 1,000 VND/kg, currently trading in the range of 34,000 – 36,500 VND/kg. The Central region remained stable at around 37,500 – 45,500 VND/kg. The Southeast region increased by 500 VND/kg, currently reaching 44,500 – 46,500 VND/kg. In the Southwest region, the price has increased by 250 VND/kg, with traders currently buying at around 46,000 – 47,000 VND/kg.
